Samsung has announced the launch of the fifth edition of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, its flagship innovation and education programme aimed at empowering young innovators in India to build technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges.

As Samsung marks 30 years in India, the company is expanding the scale of the programme, reinforcing its commitment to India’s innovation ecosystem and the vision of #DigitalIndia.

Under the 2026 edition, the top four winning teams will receive incubation grants worth Rs 2 crore along with incubation support at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. In addition, the top 20 teams will receive Rs 20 lakh, while the top 40 teams will receive Rs 8 lakh, Samsung devices, and mentorship support.

“We are proud to have been a trusted partner in the country’s digital and innovation journey over the last 30 years,” said JB Park. He added that the programme has evolved into a platform that nurtures young innovators and emerging startups addressing real-world problems.

This year’s edition invites students aged 14–22 to submit ideas under four themes: AI Living for India, Health & Education, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport & Tech.

The six-month programme will offer participants access to prototyping support, investor connects, expert mentorship, immersive workshops, and training aimed at helping students scale their ideas into viable solutions.

“Bharat is being shaped by a new generation of young innovators who are solving for the world as well,” said Ajay Kumar Sood.

Rangan Banerjee said the collaboration enables students to access deep-tech mentorship, interdisciplinary research and prototyping support.

Applications for Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026 will remain open from May 7 to July 3. During this period, Samsung plans to conduct 100 design-thinking workshops across schools and colleges.

The top 100 shortlisted teams will undergo online mentorship and training, after which 40 teams will move to the next stage through a video pitch round. Semi-finalists will also visit Samsung R&D centres in Bengaluru, Noida and Delhi for exposure to innovation ecosystems.

The programme, first launched in the US in 2010, is now operational in 68 countries and has engaged over 3 million young people globally.
