The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that they will release Class X and Class XII board exam admit cards 2025 by end January, getting the ball of preparation rolling in the direction for more than 44 lakh admitted students. Once cards are released these students can grab their hall ticket from the official web portal of cbse.gov.in.
In general, based on historical trends, the admit cards are released between late January and early February. Thus, in 2024 and 2023, admit cards issued were on February 5 and February 8, respectively. However, there have been deviations in past years, such as 2022, when admit cards were delayed until April 16 due to pandemic-related disruptions, and in 2020, when they were released as early as January 19. This historical pattern suggests a likely release date for 2025 in the last week of January or the first week of February.
The 2025 CBSE board exams are scheduled to start from February 15, with Class X students starting off their exams by sitting for the English paper. It is also the first paper for most candidates of Class XII on the same day. Students must download their admit cards as early as possible and avoid last-minute hassles during the exam date.
The admit card needs to be downloaded from the official website of the CBSE board; the admit card download link must be clicked and located on the homepage and their roll number, date of birth provided. Upon authentication of these details, they are allowed to print the downloaded admit card.
The admit card is a critical document for every student appearing for the board exams, as it contains essential details such as the candidate’s roll number, date of birth, name, parent’s name, subject list with corresponding exam dates, exam center name, and the unique admit card ID. It is crucial for students to carefully check all the details printed on the card and immediately report any discrepancies to their respective schools to ensure timely corrections.
Along with the schedule of exams, CBSE has put in a comprehensive surveillance policy that ensures that the examination process is fair and transparent. Among such measures, the board requires every exam center to install high-resolution CCTV cameras in examination halls. Such cameras will keep an eye on the students and exam materials from the beginning till the end of the exams. The risk of malpractices is thus decreased and a safe environment is developed for the candidates.
The introduction of stern surveillance systems proves that CBSE is not taking the maintenance of integrity of the board exams lightly, as this is one crucial milestone in the student’s journey. It also shows the proactivity of the board to win the trust and confidence of the students and their parents by providing equal opportunities for every candidate based on their merits.
With the exams just weeks away, students and their families are advised to keep themselves updated on the official announcements from CBSE regarding the release of admit cards and other important notifications. The coming weeks will be crucial for students as they finalize their preparations and gear up for the exams.
The CBSE board exams make massive provisions for academic assessments but also provide access to higher education and further careers. In this regard, the coordinated release of admit cards along with stronger surveillance policies of the board epitomize a sense of responsibility in ensuring that all elements go smoothly and safely through the process of examination.
