The National Testing Agency has further extended the last date for registration of the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 exam, providing another chance to those who have been seeking to appear for the much-sought-after test. Although the last date was scheduled to close earlier, the last date for the application is now January 2, 2025. Candidates can fill up their application forms online from the official website of CSIR UGC NET at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

The extension will ensure that all eligible candidates have ample time to complete their applications without last-minute issues. The NTA has also set the last date for payment of the application fee as January 3, 2025. This will provide a one-day grace period for applicants to settle the required fees after submitting their forms. For those who have already registered, a correction window will be available from January 4 to January 5, 2025. During this time, candidates can edit or correct errors in their submitted application forms, ensuring accuracy in their details before the examination.

Applicants are reminded to submit only one application form. The NTA strictly prohibits multiple submissions and reserves the right to disqualify candidates who violate this rule. Candidates are expected to register on the portal, log in to their accounts, fill out the application form, pay the prescribed fee, and submit their applications as part of the registration process. After a successful submission, candidates are also advised to download a copy of the application form and retain a hard copy for further reference.

The CSIR UGC NET examination for Junior Research Fellowships and Lectureships in the sciences and related research fields is scheduled to take place from February 16, 2025, to February 28, 2025. The examination is going to last for 180 minutes with objective-type multiple-choice questions. The exam will be held in both English and Hindi languages to suit all candidates of this country.

Candidates are also encouraged to read their applications and check that the information provided is accurate and complete. When the correction window is available, applicants are advised to recheck the details and correct anything that might have been inaccurately filled out. This would prevent discrepancies from making them ineligible.

For candidates who are facing difficulties in the registration process, the NTA has established a helpline. Aspirants can contact the helpline numbers at 011-40759000 or 011-69227700 or email [email protected]. These services aim to resolve any technical or procedural issues, ensuring a smooth application process for all candidates.
