National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released a notice on reopening the registration window of NEET MDS 2025 for candidates who are eligible and can now make their application process complete. The decision follows an extension of the deadline to June 30, 2025, for internship completion that serves as a condition for exam eligibility. The applicants who qualify as per the revised criteria may submit their online application through the NBEMS website.

The window of registration will continue until April 6, 2025, providing candidates with a few days to finish the application process. Moreover, there will be an edit window on April 9, enabling applicants to correct necessary details in the submitted forms. Admit cards for the exam will be released on April 15, 2025, so that candidates have sufficient time to prepare for the test day.

To apply for NEET MDS 2025, candidates are required to go to the official NBEMS portal and generate a user ID and password. Log in, enter their personal details and educational credentials, and upload documents such as a photograph and signature. On completing the form and paying the required fee, they should download and submit the final application form for future reference.

NEET MDS 2025 test will be conducted on April 19, 2025. It will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) mode as per the approved examination pattern. The test will have 240 multiple-choice questions with four answer choices. Applicants need to choose the best out of the options provided. The exam will last for three hours, and there will be a negative marking system. 25% of the marks assigned to each question will be deducted for each incorrect answer, but no marks will be deducted for leaving questions blank.

Aspirants appearing for the exam should be ready for a rigorous testing process, as the competition for MDS seats is always keen. The test will be held in English, and aspirants should be thoroughly familiar with the topics being tested. Aspirants appearing for the exam should aim for accuracy, as negative marking can affect their overall scores drastically.

The fee for NEET MDS 2025 application is different according to the category of the candidate. General, OBC, and EWS category candidates need to pay Rs 3,500, whereas SC, ST, and PWD category candidates need to pay Rs 2,500. The payment is to be made through the prescribed online payment gateway using credit cards, debit cards, UPI, etc., modes. The payment is to be made within the registration time frame because late payments will not be considered.

After the examination is completed, candidates will have to wait for the results, which will be declared on May 19, 2025. NEET MDS 2025 exam is both an eligibility test and a ranking test for admission into Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses for the academic year 2025. The marks scored in the test will decide candidates’ probabilities of getting admissions to different institutions providing MDS courses in the nation.

The opening of the window for registration is a very significant chance for the candidates who could have missed the first window for application. Due to the significance of the exam in gaining admission to a seat in dentistry at the postgraduate level, the candidates are encouraged to apply on time and use the days left to polish their preparation.
