NTA Releases Revised Schedule For UGC NET December 2024

The National Testing Agency has released the latest subject and shift-wise UGC NET December 2024 session schedule on the portal. The examination which initially was scheduled to take place from January 1 till January 19, 2025, now got rescheduled to occur on January 3 through 16, 2025. This is all planned to make the date smoother for the candidates. The UGC NET December 2024 session will be taken up in the CBT mode for 85 subjects, which will be divided into two shifts every day.
The morning shift of the exam will be held between 9 am and 12 pm. Meanwhile, the afternoon shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. The candidates can view the complete exam schedule at the official website of NTA, https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/.
There will be an exclusive link on the home page itself, which will be titled “Examination Schedule of UGC-NET December 2024.” The applicants will be given access to an opened PDF containing the updated date and shift timings of every individual candidate. Subject codes are mentioned, referring to which a mistake of the date with that student’s shift can be prevented. Along with the new schedule, the candidates can also expect the NTA to come up with an exam city notification within a week. This is because the exam city notification holds great importance for the candidates as it gives them details about the exam city that they would require for travel purposes. The exam city notification will clearly let the candidates know the city of their examination center so that they can prepare accordingly. This exam city notification is done prior to the release of admit card so that the applicants would get enough time for applying in the city preferred and arrangement of travel.
It would issue the admit cards of importance for the purposes of taking the examination almost a week before the respective dates for the examination. It will contain all the details such as the name of the candidate, roll number, date, and time of the exam. Along with that, on the admit card, specific instructions or guidelines will be required by candidates to be strictly followed on the day of the exam. It will be quite important for every candidate to download their respective admit cards correctly because an individual is not allowed inside to take the exam. Since several purposes it serves, the examination of the UGC NET is quite important to the academic as well as professional career for several candidates. In fact, the examination leads to awarding Junior Research Fellowships along with appointment as Assistant Professors in colleges as well as universities all across India. More importantly, the result gives admission into PhD programs. The exam has two sections, which are objective-type, multiple-choice questions. It would ensure the standardized and fair evaluation of all candidates. Candidates should be updated with all the notifications and prepare for the examination well in advance in view of the new dates and schedule.
