The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has formally commenced the UP Board Class X and Class XII examinations for 2025 from February 24. A whopping 54.37 lakh students are enrolled to appear for these crucial examinations, which further establishes the UP Board as one of India’s largest educational examination boards. With more than 27 lakh students showing up for each of the Class X and Class XII examinations, the examinations are a solemn academic milestone for students throughout the state.

The UP Board exams are this year being held in 8,140 exam centers that are dispersed all over the state, giving the students widespread access to where they can take their tests. To deal with so many candidates, the UP Board has separated the exams into two shifts. The morning shift is from 8:30 am to 11:45 am, and the afternoon shift is from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. This is done to ensure that students are not congested at exam centers and that every candidate is able to sit for their exams in a proper setting. The initial exams for Class X and XII students both start with Hindi, with Class X students also sitting for their Healthcare papers, while Class XII students start with Military Science exams.

As far as the logistics of exams are concerned, students have to adhere to a strict entry process so that exams can run efficiently on the given day. A major requirement among students is carrying their UP Board admit cards of 2025, which students have to submit at the examination centre. Other than this, students should be in possession of a valid school ID to check their identity. Without these vital documents, admission to the examination hall will be refused. In a bid to prevent last-minute delays, students are encouraged to report to their respective exam centres at least 30 minutes prior to the planned start of their exams. This will assist in preventing any confusion or congestion at the last minute.

UPMSP has also put in place some stringent regulations for the conduct of these exams, which are meant to ensure discipline and fairness in the process. A centralized monitoring room has been established with 54 computers to control all the exam centers in the state in real time. The board has once again reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy against such behavior, cautioning students that those who have been found guilty will be given harsh disciplinary action.
