WBJEE 2025 Registration Begins; Exam On April 27

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has begun accepting online applications for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2025. The interested candidates who want to take admission into undergraduate courses in engineering, technology, architecture, and pharmacy offered by the institutes of West Bengal can now submit their applications. The application portal is available from January 22, 2025, and will remain open until February 23, 2025. Students are advised to register themselves in this time frame to avoid any last-minute problems.
WBJEEB has also declared that a correction window will be provided from February 25 to February 27, 2025, for applicants to make changes in their submitted forms so that all the information provided is correct. This flexibility is important because it allows candidates to rectify mistakes in their application forms.
WBJEE 2025 will take place offline, in pen and paper mode on 27th April 2025. The candidate will write their answers on the OMR sheet with blue or black ball pens available in the board, respectively. The admit card for the examination is downloadable from 17th April 2025 to 27th April 2025 on the official website.
To apply, candidates need to visit the official website of WBJEEB, which is https://wbjeeb.nic.in, and complete the registration process. They must select WBJEE from the examinations tab, open the registration link under the candidate activity section, and follow the steps to fill out the form. The eligibility criteria for WBJEE 2025 state that applicants must be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), with OCI candidates being eligible only for unreserved seats under the All-India quota. Candidates must have completed their Class XII or an equivalent examination in 2025 or should be appearing for the same this year. The minimum age for the exam is 17 years as of December 31, 2025, which means candidates born on or before December 31, 2008, are eligible. However, there is no upper age limit for most courses, except for Marine Engineering courses, for which the maximum age limit is 25 years as of December 31, 2025.
The application fee is different for different categories of the candidate. A general male candidate will have to pay Rs 500, while a general female candidate has to pay Rs 400, and a third gender candidate has to pay Rs 300. For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS/PwD/TFW categories, the fee will be charged at Rs 400 for males, Rs 300 for females, and Rs 200 for third-gender candidates.
The WBJEE 2025 Exam comprises two papers. The candidates who appear for Paper 1 and Paper 2 together will be eligible for GMR and PMR, thereby allowing them to join both the engineering and pharmacy courses. The candidates who appear for Paper 2 alone are eligible for the Pharmacy Merit Rank, hence allowing them to seek admission into the pharmacy course. However, candidates appearing only for Paper 1 will not be eligible for any merit rank or admission.
