The Bhoomi Poojan and Shilanyas Ceremony of the permanent building of Kendriya Vidyalaya NIT Rourkela was conducted on the auspicious day of 19th July 2024, marking the embarking of an important event in the learning scenario of this region. The ceremony was inaugurated by Prof. K. Umamaheshwar Rao, the Hon’ble Director of NIT Rourkela. Present amongst others were Mrs. P. Neerja, Principal in charge KV NIT Rourkela, other dignitaries, the esteemed faculty, staff, and members of the local community.

Kendriya Vidyalaya’s opening within the NIT Rourkela campus is just proof of our unflinching commitment towards providing quality education to the children in our surroundings. The proposed institution as a new beckoning lighthouse on academic excellence and holistic development assures that these children will not only get an education but an all-round learning experience preparing them for their future.

Facilities at the new school building would be ultra-modern in terms of setting up an optimum learning environment. These would include state of the art classrooms, advanced laboratories, a well stocked library, and extensive sports facilities. Among others, these would also aid in supporting a strong educational framework with the same culture of inquiry, innovation, and excellence.
