JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Registration Closes Soon

The window of registration for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2 closes on February 25, and it will be the last chance for applicants to apply. The National Testing Agency (NTA), the conducting body, has validated that the cutoff date won’t be extended. Prospective engineers who haven’t signed up yet need to fill in the application by 9 pm through the official portal.
JEE Main is a highly prestigious engineering entrance exam in India, acting as a key to gain admission into such high-grade institutions like the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded technical institutes. It also serves as a screening test for JEE Advanced, which decides admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). In view of the competitiveness of the examination, students are encouraged to heed the application procedure and submit their forms in good time before the deadline.
Once registration is over, the NTA will offer time to candidates for correcting their filed application forms. The window to correct the forms will be operational from February 27 to 28 until 11.50 pm. All through this window, applicants have the facility of editing certain portions of their forms so that the information provided is correct before submission. Personal information errors, selection of category, or uploading files can be corrected within the designated time.
The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam will be conducted from April 1 to 8. As the exam date is near, registered candidates will be issued their admit cards three days prior to their respective exam dates. The admit cards will be downloadable from the official website and should be brought to the examination center, as they are a necessary document for admission.
For applicants who have not yet applied, the process includes going to the official website and clicking on the link of the online application form for JEE Main 2025 Session 2. Upon filling out the preliminary registration, the applicants are required to log in by their application number and date of birth or password. The following step involves entering personal and educational information, uploading documents required, and payment of the application fee. On successful submission, applicants must download and save a copy of the filled-in form for reference.
The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 results are already out for Paper 1 as well as Paper 2. The first session witnessed a stellar performance, with 14 candidates getting a perfect 100 percentile score in Paper 1. Out of those top performers, just one was a female student. In Paper 2 that comprises BArch and BPlan categories, a single student got a 100 percentile score in both categories. These findings also point towards a high degree of competition among aspirants and emphasize the need for proper preparation from those who appear in the second session.
Registration charges for JEE Main 2025 depend on the candidate’s category. Male candidates under the Unreserved (General), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000. Female candidates belonging to these categories have a fee of Rs 800, which is slightly less. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and transgender categories have to pay Rs 500 as registration fee. The fee has been structured in a way that ensures accessibility without compromising on a just application process for all candidates.
With the registration window about to close, the candidates need to act fast to finalize their application process. For candidates who have already registered, the coming correction window provides an opportunity to make any changes that may be required prior to the exam. With the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam drawing near, the candidates need to concentrate on their preparation, utilizing the available time to the best possible extent to achieve a good performance in this extremely competitive exam.
