NICMAR Online, the digital learning initiative of NICMAR, in alignment with the growing demand for skilled professionals in AEC sector, announces admissions open for its Post Graduate Program in Digital Construction: Mastering BIM. Designed for aspiring and working professionals in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector, the programme aims to equip learners with advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM) capabilities and digital construction expertise that are increasingly becoming essential across the built environment ecosystem.

The fifth cohort scheduled to start from October 2026 comes at a time when the AEC industry is undergoing rapid digital transformation. Organisations are increasingly adopting BIM, Common Data Environments (CDE), and data-driven project delivery methodologies to enhance project efficiency, improve collaboration, minimise execution risks, and optimise lifecycle asset management. This shift has significantly increased the demand for professionals who possess both technical expertise and digital construction competencies.

Commenting on the same, Dr. Tapash Kumar Ganguli, Director General, NICMAR, said, “Digital technologies are fundamentally transforming the way infrastructure and construction projects are conceived, designed and delivered. Building Information Modelling has emerged as a critical capability that is redefining project execution through greater collaboration, efficiency and data-driven decision-making. With our programme, we aim to prepare skilled talent and professionals with industry-relevant knowledge, practical exposure and globally aligned digital construction practices that will enable them to lead the future of the built environment.”

The Post Graduate Program in Digital Construction: Mastering BIM has been designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by combining conceptual understanding with practical application. The curriculum covers BIM processes, digital construction workflows, ISO 19650 standards, Common Data Environment (CDE), 4D and 5D BIM, project collaboration, and digital project delivery, providing learners with a comprehensive understanding of modern construction practices.

Delivered through live online sessions by experienced faculty members and industry experts, the programme offers an immersive learning experience through software demonstrations, workshops, real-world case studies, practical assignments, and project-based learning. Participants will also undertake a Capstone Project that enables them to apply BIM concepts to live construction challenges while building a professional portfolio.

To further enhance career readiness, the programme includes dedicated Career Advancement sessions focused on resume building, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimisation, communication skills and professional branding. Learners will also benefit from NICMAR Online’s strategic collaboration with BEXEL Manager, gaining hands-on software training along with an additional BEXEL Manager Certification, strengthening their readiness for digital construction roles across the industry.

Building on the success of its previous online learning initiatives, NICMAR Online continues its commitment to delivering flexible, industry-aligned education that empowers professionals to upskill while balancing their careers. The programme reflects NICMAR’s vision of developing future-ready talent capable of driving digital innovation across India’s rapidly evolving construction and infrastructure sectors.
