Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), one of Delhi’s leading public universities, has announced a final opportunity for aspiring postgraduate law candidates to register for LLM admissions for the academic year 2025. The university has extended the deadline for online registration and counseling fee payment for the LLM programme (Programme Code 112) till June 23, 2025.

This chance is particularly crucial for candidates who have appeared for the Common Law Admission Test for Postgraduate courses (CLAT PG) in 2025 and are seeking admission to the LLM programme offered by IP University. Candidates who have not yet paid the requisite counseling fee of ₹2,500 can still do so by the new deadline through the university’s online admission portal.

As per the official notification released by the Public Relations Department of GGSIPU, the registration for counseling is a compulsory step in the admission process. Without registering and submitting the fee, candidates will not be considered for seat allocation in the LLM programme. The university has emphasized that this is the final opportunity for eligible candidates to complete their applications for the academic session.

Additionally, the university has provided flexibility for applicants who wish to modify their submitted application details. Those who have already registered can edit important information such as their region, category, CLAT PG rank, and other particulars until the deadline of June 23. This modification window is a valuable opportunity for candidates to rectify errors or update data based on their latest documents or preferences.

Applicants are also advised to ensure that all required documents are uploaded along with the filled form. These include the CLAT PG 2025 rank card, the 12th standard mark sheet, and any documents required to claim reservation benefits. The submission of these documents is critical to establish eligibility and for accurate consideration during the counseling process.

For candidates who have not yet received their Class 12 results, the university has made special provisions. Such applicants must fill and upload “Annexure 4,” a self-declaration form available on the university’s website under the “Admission Brochure” section. This annexure serves as a placeholder document to affirm that the candidate has appeared for their 12th standard exams and is awaiting results. The university has taken this step to ensure that meritorious students are not left behind due to pending board examination results.

Special instructions have also been issued for candidates applying under the Defense category. These applicants are required to mark “Yes” in the designated space on the application form to indicate their interest in applying under this category. They must also specify their preference related to sub-category and upload the necessary defense-related documents to support their claim. This information is crucial to determine the candidate’s eligibility for the reserved seats under this category.

While the registration and fee submission deadline has been extended, the university has yet to release the schedule for the choice filling process — the phase during which candidates select their preferred colleges and specializations. The university has assured that this schedule will be released separately and in due course. Candidates are therefore advised to regularly check the university’s official websites for updates.

All relevant details, including the admission brochure, annexures, and official notifications, can be accessed through the official university websites: www.ipu.ac.in and www.ipu.admissions.nic.in. These platforms will continue to serve as the primary source of information for all admission-related updates.

GGSIPU has reiterated its commitment to maintaining a fair and transparent admission process and has urged all prospective candidates to complete their application process within the stipulated time frame to avoid disqualification or missed opportunities. As the deadline nears, candidates are encouraged to act promptly and ensure that their registration, payment, and document uploads are completed successfully.

With legal education gaining increasing importance in today’s socio-political and commercial landscape, the LLM programme at IP University continues to attract aspirants seeking advanced legal knowledge, career opportunities in academia, litigation, judiciary, and the corporate sector. The university’s affiliation with CLAT PG ensures that admissions are merit-based and in line with national standards.

As the clock ticks toward the final deadline, candidates who are yet to complete their registration must treat this as a critical opportunity. Missing this window would mean waiting an entire academic year, and with competitive seats and a rigorous selection process, timely action is of utmost importance.
