The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has launched a new mobile application called PRASHAST, which is designed to digitally screen students with disabilities. The app aims to provide an efficient and user-friendly platform for identifying the needs of students with disabilities and providing them with the necessary support.
To create awareness about the app and its features, NCERT is hosting an orientation session where participants can interact with experts and learn how to benefit from the app. The session will be held from 8th May 2023 to 12th May 2023 from 11.00 am onwards.
The PRASHAST mobile app is equipped with a range of features such as speech recognition, image recognition, and text-to-speech conversion, making it accessible to students with various disabilities. The app also includes a user-friendly interface that allows students to easily navigate and use the app.
During the orientation session, experts will demonstrate how the app works and provide tips on how to use it effectively. They will also be available to answer any questions and provide guidance on how to customize the app to meet the needs of individual students.
NCERT believes that the PRASHAST app has the potential to revolutionize the way students with disabilities are identified and supported in India. The app is a significant step towards building an inclusive education system that provides equal opportunities for all students.
The orientation session is open to all interested individuals, including educators, parents, and students. To participate in the session, individuals can register on the NCERT website and access the complete series to know how they can benefit from the app.
