Share

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has opened the registration window for the MBA/MMS Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2025. The online registration page has been opened, and interested candidates can enroll through the official website—cetcell.mahacet.org.

This CAP round is an important phase for those students who are keen on obtaining admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management Studies (MMS) courses by different government, government-aided, university-managed, and unaided colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The registration facility is offered to those candidates who have cleared the state-level MBA/MMS-CET 2025 and possess valid marks in national-level entrance exams such as CAT, CMAT, XAT, AIMS, MAT, or GMAT.

Among the notable changes in this year’s CAP registration is the exemption from the payment of registration fees to the applicants who appeared and shortlisted in the MBA/MMS-CET 2025. Such applicants can proceed with their application process without paying any fees. However, the applicants who want to apply on the basis of other national-level entrance exams have to pay a registration fee. The fee will be Rs 1,200 for general category applicants and a small fee of Rs 100 for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and EWS.

Application has also been made simpler by making the process easier. First, the applicant must visit the official CET Cell website and choose the “Registered Candidate Login” option. When they reach, they are required to login with their registered password and email ID. Once logged in, the candidates must enter their academic qualifications, personal details, and other provided information. One of the most important processes at the time of registration is choosing their desired colleges from the list of the participating colleges. The process is highly important as it will decide the seat allocation based on the merit list and availability.

Along with the online application form, the applicants must upload a list of documents. The documents include the respective entrance exam scorecard, academic mark sheets, category certificates (if applicable), and domicile proofs. It is recommended that candidates upload all the documents clearly and genuinely so that there is no inconvenience in verification.

The document upload and registration time is July 8, 2025, up to 5 PM. However, the candidates should not wait for the last date since the document verification and form confirmation process has already been started from June 30 and will be live up to July 9, 2025, up to 5 PM. On all these days, the officials will check the uploaded certificates, and only after the verification, the candidate’s application will be valid for merit listing.

After the completion of all registrations and document verifications, the provisional merit list shall be published on July 12, 2025. The list shall be an initial ranking of candidates based on their scores and qualifications. Candidates shall then be provided with a time frame from July 13 to July 15 (up to 7 PM) to submit any corrections or grievances for the provisional list. This is also a chance for applicants to correct any mistake in their application which would influence their merit ranking.

After this correction phase, the last merit list will be released on July 17, 2025. The list will be an official ranking and will be employed for the allotment of the seats during subsequent CAP rounds. After releasing the merit list, the counselling schedule and allotment process will be announced by the CET Cell, Maharashtra.

It is important that the applicants remain informed on the official website, as the entire CAP admission procedure is online and extreme care has to be taken with deadlines. Lack of attention to document submissions, verification, or correction periods can lead to disqualification from the process.

MBA CAP 2025 is the doorway to Maharashtra’s premier management colleges. With processes being made simpler and test takers at the state and national level consolidated, the process provides equal opportunities for all deserving students. Once the process begins, students are asked to keep themselves updated with announcements and actively follow through on all formalities within the set time frames.

Through this opportunity, applicants are able to inch closer to securing admission for quality management studies that can lead to lucrative business, finance, marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship careers.
