JKLU Opens PhD Admissions for 2026 Session, Applications Till July 15

JK Lakshmipat University has opened admissions for its PhD programmes for the 2026 academic session, inviting applications from candidates across disciplines interested in research and higher studies.
The university said applications will remain open till July 15, while the entrance examination is scheduled for July 18, 2026. Candidates with a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA are eligible to apply. Final-year postgraduate students can also apply for provisional admission, subject to university norms.
Admission to the doctoral programme will be based on the JKLU PhD Entrance Test, evaluation of the research proposal and a personal interview or faculty interaction. Candidates with valid UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE or equivalent scores may also be considered as per applicable guidelines.
According to the university, the entrance test will assess research aptitude, subject knowledge, analytical thinking and academic writing skills.
The university said the programme is aimed at offering a research-driven academic environment with interdisciplinary opportunities, faculty mentorship and access to modern laboratories and academic resources.
JKLU also highlighted its industry links backed by the JK Group, semester exchange opportunities with international universities, and placement support services. The university is accredited with an NAAC ‘A’ Grade rating.
Applications can be submitted through the university’s online admission portal.
