BHU Offers 19 Courses Through CUET UG 2025

Share

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has formally released its admission procedure for undergraduate courses through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2025. As per the latest information bulletin issued by the university, admissions to 19 undergraduate courses will be made on the basis of CUET UG scores this year. Students applying for these programmes need to appear for the entrance test and adhere to the laid-down admission process. The university has encouraged applicants to check its official website for step-by-step guidelines on eligibility, subject requirements, and application procedures.

One of the major changes brought about this year is in the admission process for the BA (Hons) LLB programme. Earlier, the candidates for this course used to have to appear for the “Legal Studies” subject in CUET UG. BHU has now done away with this. Candidates who want to get admitted to BA (Hons) LLB now have to apply for the language test and general aptitude test under CUET UG 2025. This move is in line with the modifications in CUET UG subject availability for the current year. The university has also made it clear that aspirants need to appear for CUET UG 2025 in the subjects they have studied and passed at Class XII level to be deemed eligible for admission. This makes sure that students are tested according to their class background and readiness for their intended courses.

In a thrilling news, BHU has launched two new undergraduate courses from the 2025 academic year. These new courses will widen the range of choices for students, especially in medical technology. The two recently introduced courses are Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Medical Technology (Radiotherapy) and Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology. With the addition of these specialized medical programs, those students who aim to construct medical diagnostic and radiotherapy careers are now eligible to pursue these programs on the basis of their CUET UG 2025 scores. These new programs reflect the increasing needs of healthcare and medical technology personnel in India and globally.

Though CUET UG continues to be the compulsory path for the majority of undergraduate admissions in BHU, the university has granted an exemption in the case of foreign nationals. Foreign nationals are not going to have to sit for CUET UG 2025. Admission for them will be strictly on merit basis, taking into account their academic history. Foreign nationals can get admitted by presenting their academic documents, doing away with the necessity of an entrance test. This step will make the process of admitting international students smoother and will bring a more diverse pool of students into the university.

As a part of the admission procedure, the applicants who are currently sitting for their Class XII board exam or waiting for the results are also eligible to apply for BHU UG Admission 2025. To make the selection process a smooth and transparent one, BHU is implementing the Common Allocation Process (CAP UG) 2025. Through this scheme, seat allotment and counselling will be made easier, and students can take admission in their desired undergraduate courses based on merit and CUET UG marks. The launch of CAP UG 2025 is anticipated to make the enrolment process easier, such that students get timely advice and assistance while obtaining their admissions.

With such developments, BHU continues to evolve its admission rules to maintain accessibility and fairness among students of different academic backgrounds. The launch of new courses and changes in subject requirements indicate the university’s intent to make available relevant and career-focused learning opportunities. While CUET UG 2025 aspirants prepare, BHU remains a desired institution with a wide array of undergraduate courses available in subjects ranging from law to medical technology.
