Greater Noida’s Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) formally began its academic year 2024–26 on July 3, 2024 with the traditional “Deeksharambh” celebration welcoming its 37th class of students. An exhilarating and promising start to their professional lives was the formal induction of 480 students from all over India into the four core PGDM programs—retail management, insurance business management, international business, and general management. The vision-setting event at BIMTECH’s Greater Noida campus signaled the start of a transformative educational phase transcending conventional welcome. Coming from over 20 states, the incoming class spans a wide spectrum of educational and economic levels including business, engineering, the humanities, sciences, and management. The leadership believes that this diversity shows BIMTECH’s growing national presence and commitment to educational variety. Speaking to the arriving class at the Deeksharambh event, a remarkable group of business leaders and educators offered insightful counsel. Dr. Abhishek Tiwary, Senior Vice President and Global Head of HR (BPS) at Tech Mahindra, was the Chief Guest of the event. He also served as Head of Global HR for the KPMG Delivery Network. Encouraging students to welcome the rapid changes in technology and workplace dynamics, he emphasized that future leadership will depend on adaptability, emotional intelligence, and continuous learning. Encouraged students to “step out of their comfort zones and grow with audacity, imagination, and tenacity,” Major General (Ret. ) Rajesh Kumar Jha, AVSM, Director (Personnel) at the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) with decades of Indian Army and corporate HR experience, also urged them to be humble and give ethics, discipline, and tenacity top priority. Though academic achievements have some worth, he stressed that actual success depends on social responsibility and individual morality. According to Dr. Prabina Rajib, director of the institution, BIMTECH aspires to produce leaders ready for their careers who are socially aware, morally upright. She noted how BIMTECH is staying current with international trends by fostering creativity and cooperation, therefore helping the management education environment to change. Her creative concepts comprised opening a Centre of Excellence in blockchain technology supported by a US-based technology firm and ongoing talks with Bloomberg regarding the creation of a Finance Lab on campus. Another subject she addressed was the signing of a new Memorandum of Agreement with a prestigious Singaporean institution to promote worldwide academic cooperation. She claimed that these projects were part of BIMTECH’s strategy to provide a modern, worldwide relevant curriculum. The Deputy Director and Dean of Academics, Dr. Pankaj Priya, also addressed the students with details on the updated curriculum emphasizing experiential learning, corporate exposure, real-world problem solving, and sustainability. He encouraged students to engage in clubs, practical projects, national events, and local events so that they would become well-rounded persons. Both symbolic and practical, the Deeksharambh ceremony blended contemporary understanding with ancient practices. The event—which included professors, corporate professionals, graduates, and upperclassmen—gained a sense of welcome and support from the new group. Additionally included in the event were intriguing seminars and cultural performances that brightened up the otherwise gloomy mood. Furthermore emphasized was BIMTECH’s consistently high standing in worldwide and local ratings. According to the Business Today-MDRA rankings of private business schools, the institute was rated 17th; according to the NIRF Management rankings for 2023, it ranked 48th. Among only a handful of overseas business schools that give research, academic quality, and impact top priority. Its most recent AACSB accreditation put it among them. Graduation brought on among teachers as well as among students a distinct feeling of fresh purpose. With BIMTECH’s strong academic base, modern teaching techniques, and a culture fusing knowledge with character, the class of 2024–26 is now heading into a world of possibilities. With this kind of welcome, BIMTECH reconfirmed its dedication to developing responsible leaders for an always evolving and dynamic world.
