Share

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the results for the Class X and XII board exams during the second week of May 2025. Though the date is not officially confirmed as yet, students are encouraged to visit the official CBSE website frequently to know about any developments.

This time, over 44 lakh students took the board exams, of which around 24.12 lakh students took Class X and 17.88 lakh students took Class XII. The exams were taken from February 15 to April 4, 2025. Students are very keen to know their results, which will help shape their academic future, since there are many students appearing for the exams.

To clear the exams, the students need to obtain a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. For those students who might be unhappy with their marks or suspect errors in their marks, CBSE has introduced a facility for re-evaluation or confirmation. Students can avail the same through the official CBSE website, so any issues they might have with respect to their marks will be resolved.

After announcing the results, students will be able to view their scorecards on various platforms. The results can be accessed on the CBSE official website, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. These websites will enable students to download and view their results securely. Apart from all this, results can also be obtained via SMS by sending a student’s roll number, school code, and center number on 7738299899. This SMS feature is particularly convenient for students in case they face technical problems during online viewing of their results.

For students willing to view results online, viewing results on CBSE’s official website is rather easy. Students can view their results on CBSE results by going to CBSE results web page at results.cbse.nic.in. Once on the home page, students can click on the links of both the Class X and Class XII results. By clicking on the appropriate link, they will be asked to input their roll number, school number, center number, and admit card ID. Once they have input all required details, their result will display on the screen, which will be downloadable and savable for later reference. It is also suggested that students print or screenshot their results for administrative use.

Aside from the official website, students can also retrieve their results from DigiLocker, a secure digital document storage and management platform. To obtain their results via DigiLocker, students must go to digilocker.gov.in and choose the correct class (Class X or Class XII). Once they input the school code, roll number, and the six-digit security PIN given to them by their school, the students will be able to check their results once they have identified themselves using an OTP sent on the registered mobile number. Students can then go to their DigiLocker account and locate the CBSE board result under “Documents.”. For students who are already registered on DigiLocker, they can simply log in to their accounts to see their results.

The UMANG app, another handy platform for accessing government services, will also be hosting the results of CBSE students. The app enables students to view their results on the move, with an easy-to-use interface for checking their performance.

As the results are to be announced soon, students should be ready for whatever further action they have to undertake. For students who are dissatisfied with their performance or encounter problems, the re-evaluation or verification will allow an opportunity for retry. Students are advised to keep their admit card and other relevant information readily available while applying for re-evaluation or verification on the official website of CBSE.

The forthcoming results will be a major turning point in the academic lives of millions of students, with many eagerly anticipating their future studies and professional careers. Whether continuing higher studies, joining the workforce, or gearing up for competitive exams, the results will decide the course of action for many. Thus, the students are encouraged to remain abreast with recent news of CBSE and ensure that they take the prescribed process to view and download their results when announced officially.

In conclusion, CBSE Class X and XII board results 2025 are just near. Students need to prepare themselves to see their results on the official website of CBSE, DigiLocker, or UMANG app, and then complete the required steps to be able to see their scorecards. Also, if necessary, students can ask for re-evaluation or verification through CBSE portal to address their issues about their marks.
