Share

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), one of the capital’s leading institutions for professional education, has formally announced the timetable for its Common Entrance Tests (CETs) for the academic year 2025–26. The Public Relations Department of the university says the entrance tests will start on April 26, 2025, and will be spread over several days, covering different undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The CETs will be administered by the university in conventional pen-paper mode on OMR sheets. The test will consist of MCQs, and to ensure academic integrity and deter guessing, negative marking for wrong answers will be applicable. This is the university’s assurance of a fair and competitive selection process for the aspirants.

The test will be conducted in two shifts per day to cater to the large number of candidates appearing for various courses. The morning shift will be from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and the evening shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The university has stressed punctuality and requested candidates to report much before their respective exam centers.

On Saturday, April 26, the morning shift will provide space to CETs for two of the leading programs—Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology (B.Tech Biotech). Both are very popular at IPU, and their entry examinations are likely to see a heavy influx of aspirants from the entire Delhi-NCR area.

The night shift on the same day will feature exams for the Master of Arts in English and the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT). The MA (English) course is becoming increasingly popular for its interdisciplinary nature, while the BHMCT course remains popular with students who want to pursue careers in the hospitality sector.

The entrance exams will resume on Sunday, April 27. During the morning session, candidates will take exams for Master of Computer Applications (MCA), MCA with specialization in Software Engineering (SE), Bachelor of Design (B.Des), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing). These courses span a broad range—from healthcare and design to computer science—and represent the range of academic choices at IP University.

The April 27 evening shift will have more postgraduate and specialist programs. These are Master of Occupational Therapy (Neurology), Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics (MPO), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), and Master of Technology (M.Tech) branches like CET, VLSI, Biotechnology, and Chemical Engineering. Besides that, entry tests will also be carried out for courses like MA Economics, Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling, M.Sc in Yoga, Master of Design, Master of Education in Special Education (M.Ed Special Education), and lateral entry to the Bachelor of Design course.

All tests will be administered at centers that are within the Delhi-NCR area. The university has explained that no change of examination center request will be honored under any condition. This is in consonance with the policy of the university to have fairness and logistics efficiency in administering the CETs.

Students who have successfully enrolled for CETs can download their admit cards from the official websites of the university—www.ipu.ac.in and www.ipu.admissions.nic.in. Admit cards are a prerequisite to enter exam centers, and students are requested to read the instructions printed on them thoroughly.

By this announcement, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University reaffirms its commitment towards merit-based and transparent admissions, providing entry opportunities to thousands of prospective students to professional education. The well-articulated program list and schedule give the students sufficient time to prepare and organize their exam days accordingly. The university has advised candidates to continue visiting the official websites on a regular basis and reading the complete guidelines pertaining to the CETs.

Nalini Ranjan, Public Relations Officer at the university, signed off the press release, highlighting the institution’s continued efforts to deliver quality education and ensure academic excellence through a strong and unbiased admissions process.
