Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), or JEECUP, has released officially the counselling schedule for admission to the diploma course of polytechnic institutes in 2025. The counselling is scheduled to commence on June 27, 2025, and is arranged for those applicants who have passed the UPJEE (Polytechnic) exam and wish to receive admission to engineering, technology, and management diploma courses from different government and private institutions of Uttar Pradesh.

The notification says that first-round choice filling among the shortlisted candidates from June 27 to July 2, 2025. The candidates are required to log in to the official counselling website — jeecup.admissions.nic.in — and choose their preference of college and courses from the listed ones within this time period. The outcome of first-round seat allotment would be declared on July 3, 2025, based on the preference by the candidates.

JEECUP 2025 counselling process has been split into two phases. Phase 1 will have three rounds of counselling, i.e., for candidates who have passed in Groups A, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1 to K8, and L of the UPJEE 2025 examination. Phase 2 will have two more rounds, to facilitate reserved seats in minority colleges and also for candidates from other states to take part.

Once seat allotment is provided to candidates, they must go through a series of formalities, including opting for Freeze or Float and paying the admission fee online. Once the candidate avails the Freeze option, he/she is required to physically go to the allotted Help Centers for document verification. It will be done to ascertain the seat and continue with the process of admission. The Freeze candidates Round 1 will be verified from July 4 to July 7, 2025, up to 6 PM. Withdrawal of a candidate from Round 1 after admission can be made on July 8, 2025.

Round 2 counselling of JEECUP will start from July 9, 2025, with choice filling up to July 11. Seat allotment in this round will be on July 12 and Freeze/Float choice and fee payment will be from July 13 to July 15. Freeze students will be verified from documents from July 13 to July 16, 2025. Admission withdrawal from this round by students will be on July 17, if required.

Round 3 will start from July 18, choice filling up to July 20. Seat allotment will be on July 21. All candidates’ seats will be frozen automatically in Round 3, with fee payment from July 22 to July 24. Freeze candidates will have documents to be verified between July 22 and July 25, and Rounds 1 to 3 withdrawal will be on July 26, 2025.

2025–26 session courses will start on August 1, 2025. On the other hand, Phase 2 counselling will offer a second chance to students who either missed the previous rounds or could not get a preferred seat.

Round 4 counselling will also be made available to eligible students both from Uttar Pradesh and outside Uttar Pradesh. Choice filling for the said round will commence on July 28 and continue through July 30. The results will be announced on July 31, after which the Freeze/Float process and fee payment will be done between August 1 and August 3. Document verification will occur between August 1 and August 4, and candidates who want to withdraw their admission can do so by August 5.

Round 5, the last round of counselling, will be held from August 6 to August 8. Seat allotment will be announced on August 9. Auto-freezing of all seats will be done in this round as well with fees payment between August 10 and August 12. Freeze candidates document verification will be carried out between August 10 to August 13. Admission withdrawal in Rounds 4 and 5 will be permitted until August 14, or 2025.

JEECUP Polytechnic 2025 entrance exam was conducted earlier this month from June 5 to June 13 at test centers located in Uttar Pradesh. The exam is a state-level entrance for candidates who are applying for admission to technical and management diploma courses.
