The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has announced the results of the Class X and Class XII board examinations of the 2024–25 academic year. The results were announced by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in a press conference on May 6, 2025. The results are available for students online on the official board website — https://mpresults.nic.in.
The year has seen a remarkable increase in performance, particularly of the Class X students. The pass rate for Class X has increased to 76.22%, a big jump from last year’s 68.1%. Of the candidates who appeared for the exam, one from Singrauli district, Pragya Jaisawal, has become the topper by recording a rare achievement — a perfect score of 100%, creating a new standard of excellence in studies for the state.
Likewise, Class XII students too have made outstanding improvement, achieving a total pass percentage of 74.48%. This percentage indicates an improvement of 9.99% over the last year’s results. The state topper of Class XII is Priyal Dwivedi from Satha district, who scored 492 out of 500 marks, which translates into a whopping 98.4%.
The Class X board exams were conducted from February 27 to March 19, 2025, whereas the Class XII exams were conducted a bit earlier, from February 25 to March 25, 2025. As per the board, approximately 16.60 lakh students wrote the Class X and Class XII exams together this year, making it one of the most participated board exams in the state.
The MPBSE has clarified that the mark sheets available online are provisional in nature. Students need to pick up their original mark sheets from their respective schools when they are issued. The online mark sheets have necessary information like the student’s name, roll number, subject-wise marks, total marks secured, division, and final pass or fail status.
In order to verify their results, students must make their way to the official MP Board result page. By clicking either ‘MP Board HSC Result 2025’ in the case of Class X or ‘MP Board HSSC Result 2025’ for Class XII and inserting their roll number and application number, students are able to access and download their results to use in the future.
If any student is not satisfied with his/her marks, the board has given a chance to seek re-totaling or re-evaluation. The process will cost students a fixed fee per subject. MPBSE will soon release the window for this service, and corrections or changes made after re-evaluation will be updated in a revised digital mark sheet, which students can once more download from the board’s website.
In order to be counted as having passed MP Board Class X and XII examinations, the students must obtain a minimum of 33% in every subject. Students failing to meet the minimum requirement will be given a chance to sit for supplementary exams. The board has ensured that comprehensive guidelines regarding supplementary examinations would be published soon after the announcement of the main results.
The declaration of the 2025 results was greeted with joy throughout the state, with education authorities, schools, and families hailing the better performance of the students. This increase in pass percentages reflects the collective hard work of students, teachers, and educational institutions themselves, signaling an auspicious academic horizon for the future of Madhya Pradesh’s young people.
As the students progress, either pursuing further studies or seeking vocational and professional careers, the MPBSE’s 2025 results will be a milestone. With the top scorers such as Pragya Jaisawal and Priyal Dwivedi setting high standards, they have become role models for future batches seeking academic excellence.
