The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer key for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) 2025 very soon. This crucial document will be made available on the official NEET website — https://neet.nta.nic.in — and will be accompanied by the question papers and individual response sheets for each candidate. Once published, candidates will be able to access and download their respective documents using their application number and date of birth.

The NEET UG 2025 examination, one of the most significant medical entrance tests in India, was held on May 4, 2025. It was conducted in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM across 5,453 centres situated in more than 500 cities throughout the country. The examination witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 22 lakh candidates having registered to appear for it. This year again saw intense competition among aspirants aiming to secure a seat in undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS, and other allied fields in prestigious institutions.

The answer key will serve as a crucial reference point for candidates eager to evaluate their performance in the exam. It provides the official answers to all questions asked in the test, allowing candidates to estimate their probable scores before the official results are declared. With the inclusion of question papers and individual response sheets, the NTA aims to bring in transparency and help students cross-verify their attempted answers.

To download the NEET UG 2025 answer key, candidates will need to visit the official NEET website. After accessing the site, they can click on the link titled “NEET UG 2025 Answer Key PDF.” The answer key will be displayed on the screen, which they can download in PDF format for their reference. It is advisable to take a printout of the document for future use and to assist in the objection process, if required.

Alongside the release of the answer key, the NTA will also open a specific window for raising objections. This is intended for candidates who believe there has been an error or discrepancy in the provisional answer key. In such cases, candidates are allowed to challenge any answer by submitting the correct response supported by relevant academic or official documents.

To raise an objection, candidates must visit the official NEET UG 2025 website and log in using their application number and password or date of birth. Once logged in, they can navigate to the objection window link and select the particular questions they wish to challenge. It is mandatory to upload supporting evidence in PDF format that justifies the correction sought. A non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question will be charged for each objection submitted. Once the process is completed, candidates should download and keep a copy of the submitted objection form for their records.

The objection window will remain open for a limited period, and no challenges will be accepted after the deadline. After reviewing all the objections submitted, NTA will evaluate them thoroughly. If the challenges are found to be valid, the answer key will be revised accordingly. The final answer key will then be released, and the results will be prepared on its basis.

The release of the provisional answer key marks an important step in the NEET UG 2025 process. It provides students with a chance to self-evaluate, raise concerns, and ensure that their efforts in this highly competitive exam are justly rewarded. With over 22 lakh students competing for a limited number of medical seats, every mark matters, and the NTA’s transparent approach is designed to ensure fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process.

Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official website for timely updates. Regular checking will help them not miss the release of the answer key or the opening of the objection window. As the countdown begins for the next steps in the NEET UG 2025 cycle, aspirants must stay alert and proactive in engaging with the process to ensure their best chances of success.
