The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made available the city intimation slips for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025. The intimation was given on April 23, 2025, which serves as a significant benchmark for lakhs of medical hopefuls from all over the country. Applicants who have enrolled for the entry exam successfully can now verify and download their city intimation slips on the official NEET portals—neet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in.
The city intimation slip gives information to the candidates about the city where their NEET UG examination center is situated. It serves as an initial communication to assist students in advance planning of their travel and stay, particularly those appearing for the examination out of their native cities. The city intimation slip is not to be confused with the admit card, however. The admit card, which has more precise information like the correct address of the examination center and timing, will be published soon by the NTA.
Applicants should be careful that after the window for corrections in applications is shut, they cannot make any adjustments to their desired exam center. The assigned exam center is final and cannot be changed unless done within the officially announced correction window. Thus, those who had planned to make any changes to their exam-related information should have availed themselves of the correction facility offered previously by the NTA.
This year, NEET UG 2025 will continue with its routine exam pattern. The examination will be of 180 multiple-choice questions with a total of 720 marks. The questions will be distributed on an equal basis across three subjects—Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (comprising both Botany and Zoology). The examination will be held in pen-and-paper mode, retaining the old pattern adopted in the past years.
NEET UG 2025 will also continue to provide candidates with the facility to write the test in more than one regional language. In addition to English and Hindi, the paper will be made available in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. With this step taken by the NTA, the examination is expected to become more inclusive and accessible to candidates belonging to different linguistic groups in India.
After the admit card is announced, candidates should download and verify it carefully. If there happen to be errors in the particulars printed on the admit card—the candidate’s name, photograph, or signature, for instance—then it becomes the responsibility of the candidate to immediately contact the NTA. Helpline numbers (011-40759000 and 011-69227700) as well as an official email id ([email protected]) have been announced by the agency for addressing any such problems.
For students who are experiencing trouble in downloading or verifying the city intimation slip, the same helpline and email assistance are provided to provide timely help. The NTA has stressed the need to verify and keep safe these documents as they will play a crucial role on exam day as well as further admission procedures.
To access their city intimation slip, candidates must visit the official NEET website, locate the relevant link on the homepage, and log in using their application number and password or date of birth. Once logged in, they can download and print the slip for future reference. Keeping a hard copy is recommended to avoid last-minute hassles.
The issuance of the city intimation slip is among the last steps leading to the NEET UG 2025 exam, one of India’s biggest and most competitive undergraduate medical and dental entrance exams. As the test date draws near, this announcement comes as a reminder to candidates to step up their last-minute preparations, double-check that all their documents are ready, and remain informed through official sources.
