Centurion University of Technology and Management has entered the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings for the first time, securing a place in the 601–800 band in Asia and ranking 94 among Indian institutions.

The 2026 edition of the rankings assessed 1,405 applicant universities across 36 countries and territories, with only a selected group making it to the final published list.

The university said its performance was supported by stronger scores in research quality and industry engagement, areas that measure how institutions perform in research output, collaboration and industry-linked academic activity.

Vice-Chancellor Supriya Pattanayak said the ranking reflects the institution’s focus on applied learning and research-led teaching.

Centurion University had previously featured in the rankings’ reporter list, which includes institutions that submit data but do not make the final ranked table. Its movement into the published rankings signals progress in academic reporting and benchmark performance.

The university, based in Bhubaneswar, has positioned itself around practice-led education and industry-linked training, with a focus on hands-on learning and field-based exposure.

Its entry into the Asia rankings comes at a time when Indian universities are increasingly seeking global benchmarking to strengthen international visibility and collaborations.
