The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has issued the official counselling schedule for the Institute of National Importance Super-Speciality test for the January 2025 session. It will facilitate admissions to the DM, MCh, and MD (Hospital Administration) courses offered at AIIMS and other premier medical institutions. Aspirants can view the detailed schedule on the official AIIMS website.

AIIMS, in its official notification, has declared that it will publish a list of eligible candidates who score marks as per the cut off fixed at 50 percent of the total marks, ahead of the choice-filling process. They will be granted access to institute allocation through the online portal with their personal “My Page.” This can be accessed by logging in with credentials of the application process. This would help in an efficient process for choice filling and institute allotment for the January 2025 session.

The steps for eligible candidates to fill their choices have also been elaborated. They need to log in to the official website of AIIMS, then to the admissions section, and then go to the INI-SS link. After the entry of registration details, they can register themselves, login to their accounts, and then fill their choices. This includes filling the application form, paying the required fee amount, and submitting the same. After this, it is suggested that the candidate download and take a print of the submitted application form for further use.

Counselling for January 2025 session will be conducted in three rounds. The first round of choice filling would start from December 16, 2024 and would end on December 22, 2024. After that, the outcome of the first round of institute allocation would be declared on December 26, 2024. After this, candidates who got an institute in the above round have to accept seats online between December 27 to December 31, 2024. In addition, they are also mandated to report to their concerned institutes, submit all kinds of documents, and also pay the security deposit to accept admission.

The second round of institute allocation has been scheduled for January 16, 2025. Online acceptance for this round will be open from 17 January to 23 January, 2025. Candidates selected in this round will undergo a similar process of reporting to the allotted institute, submitting relevant documents, and paying their security deposit within the allotted time frame. The third and final round of institute allocation will be held on February 4, 2025, and the acceptance of allocated institutes through an online process will be done between February 5 and February 9, 2025.

Along with the INI-SS counseling for super-specialty courses, AIIMS is conducting the INI-CET January 2025 exam for postgraduate course admissions into MD, MS, MCh (6 years), DM (6 years), and MDS courses. These courses include the AIIMS New Delhi as well as other repute-making institutions like JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, PGIMER Chandigarh, and SCTIMST Trivandrum.

The INI-SS and INI-CET are two highly important entrance exams for students aspiring to get a seat in India’s most elite institutions.
