The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online application process for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025. AISSEE is the entry-point examination for students entering classes VI and IX in Sainik Schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that are English medium schools. These schools prepare children for a disciplined life as well as a defence force career.

The application window is open, and interested candidates can register through the official website, https://aissee.nta.nic.in. The last date for submission of the application form is January 13, 2025. Applicants are advised to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to Class VI must be between 10 and 12 years as of March 31, 2025. This gives them a birth date that ranges from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2015. To seek admission to Class IX, candidates must be between the ages of 13 and 15 years as of March 31, 2025. This brings the birth dates to the range of April 1, 2010, to March 31, 2012. Those seeking admission to Class IX must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school.

Admission Examination Information

The AISSEE 2025 will be a multiple choice test that will measure candidates’ knowledge in different disciplines. The test will determine gifted students who have performed outstandingly in academics and possess the potential to do well in the structured and competitive environment of Sainik Schools.

Registration

Registration for AISSEE 2025 is strictly an online process. Candidates should access the official website and click on the registration link placed on the home page. After registering and generating login credentials, they can proceed to fill out the application form. Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of necessary documents, including a recent passport-sized photograph, and complete the payment of the registration fee online. Once the form is submitted, candidates are advised to download and print a copy of the application for future reference.

Registration Fee

For all the above categories, i.e., General, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Defence, and Ex-Servicemen candidates, the registration fee will be Rs 800; however, for SC/ST category candidates, it is Rs 650. It is non-refundable, and the amount has to be paid using the specific online payment gateway.
