415 Students Get Early Offers at Infosys, LTIMindtree; Packages Touch ₹21 Lakh at Mohan Babu University

The placement season has opened on a strong note at Mohan Babu University. More than 415 students have already secured jobs in the first phase, with major recruiters Infosys and LTIMindtree picking students from the campus.

Among them, 29 students have received offers with salaries going up to ₹21 lakh a year. The early numbers have set the tone for the rest of the placement season for the academic year 2025–26.

The offers have gone mainly to students from B.Tech programmes such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Data Science.

University officials say the result is tied to a training system that begins from the first year itself. Students go through regular sessions on coding, aptitude and problem solving as part of their coursework. By the time placements begin, many are already familiar with the kind of tests companies conduct.

One of the key programmes on campus is called “Top Gun”. It puts students through online assessments that test coding skills, reasoning ability and subject knowledge. The aim is simple. Help students practise early and understand where they stand.

Alongside technical training, the university also runs communication and career preparation classes. These sessions focus on speaking skills, interview practice and workplace behaviour. Another programme runs parallel to regular classes and prepares students for aptitude tests and company interviews.

The university has also been trying to push students to think about startups. Its entrepreneurship cell supports students who want to test business ideas or work on early stage ventures.

Vinay Maheshwari, Executive Director and Trustee at the university, said the results are the outcome of steady preparation. “Our aim is not only to help students clear interviews. We want them to be ready for the job from day one,” he said.

The university has also built academic ties with overseas institutions, including Pennsylvania State University. Officials say such collaborations help bring new teaching methods and global exposure to students.

With the first phase already seeing strong numbers, the university expects more companies to visit the campus in the coming months as the placement season continues.
