The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE), Bhiwani, declared the results of Class XII on May 13, 2025, and presented relief and joy to lakhs of students and their families all over the state. The results are now declared on the official website of the board, bseh.org.in, and the students can check their personal scorecards by using their roll number and date of birth as printed on their admit cards.
This year, a total of 1,93,828 students sat for the HBSE Class XII annual exams. 1,66,031 students passed the exams, while 7,900 students were declared to have failed. The overall student performance has been encouraging and indicates that both students and teachers are putting in a consistent effort academically.
One of the strongest points of this year’s performance is the showing of the Commerce stream, which achieved the highest pass percentage across all streams at a whopping 92.20%. This was closely followed by the Arts stream with a pass percentage of 85.31%, and the Science stream, which had a pass percentage of 83.05%. The Commerce stream’s consistent good performance reflects the increasing interest and ability of students in business and economics subjects.
Girls, as usual, performed better than boys. Among the 97,561 female students who sat for the exam, 87,227 cleared the exam, achieving a good pass percentage of 89.41%. Conversely, 96,267 male students sat for the test and 78,804 cleared it, giving a pass percentage of 81.86%. The gender performance gap between male and female students has been seen in the last few years, and this year is no exception, with girls performing considerably higher on average.
A comparative study of school types also shows that private schools have marginally outdone government schools. The pass rate for private schools was 86.98%, while that of government schools was 84.67%. While the difference is small, it indicates the increasing competitiveness of private schools.
Another fascinating feature of the outcome is the performance in terms of the background of the students. This year, rural students outperformed urban students. The pass percentage of rural students was noted at 85.94%, while that of urban students was 85.03%. This rural-urban performance difference, although narrow, is reflective of the enhanced educational outreach and facilities now being made available in rural areas of Haryana.
To become eligible for the HBSE Class XII exams, students must achieve a minimum of 33% marks in each subject, both theory and practical. This is a standard that is consistent for all three principal streams—Science, Commerce, and Arts—and ensures an equal assessment level for all applicants.
Students can now view their results online by logging on to the official website of the Haryana Board. After reaching the homepage, they must click on the HBSE Class XII Result 2025 link, which will direct them to a login page. After entering the proper credentials, like roll number and date of birth, students will be able to see their digital mark sheet. It is recommended to download and get a printout of the result for future academic and admission purposes.
The HBSE has gone a great extent in making the process of result declaration smooth and transparent. With online access now being the order of the day, students from every part of the state could download their results without much delay.
The declaration of the results is a milestone in the student life of Class XII, with most of them setting their sights on higher studies or professional degrees. With Commerce stream being the highest scorer, and rural students leaving a deep imprint, the HBSE Class XII Results 2025 symbolize the changing educational scenario of Haryana—a mix of development, equity, and hope.
