ICAI Launches Virtual CA Classes Till 2027

Share

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the schedule for its Live Virtual Classes (LVCs) that will run until 2027, aiming to assist students preparing for the CA Intermediate examinations. This strategic academic support initiative has been designed by the ICAI’s Board of Studies (Academic) and will cater to students appearing in the upcoming examination cycles—September 2025, May 2026, September 2026, and January 2027.

The announcement has brought relief and clarity to thousands of Chartered Accountancy aspirants across India, especially those looking for structured and guided preparation resources. According to ICAI, these classes will be conducted live and made available through a wide array of digital platforms to maximize accessibility and student convenience. These include the ICAI BOS mobile application, the BoS Knowledge Portal at boslive.icai.org, and ICAI CA Tube on YouTube. All sessions will be conducted via Zoom and require candidates to log in using their registration credentials and date of birth through the ICAI’s official website (www.icai.org).

For candidates preparing for the CA Intermediate September 2025 examination, the first phase of Live Virtual Revisionary Classes (LVRCs) is set to begin from July 8, 2025. These classes will follow a disciplined and consistent schedule, operating in two distinct time slots each day: morning classes from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and evening sessions from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. This dual-slot model has been curated keeping in mind the varied preferences of students, many of whom may be working or engaged in internships during certain hours of the day.

The academic layout of the classes ensures comprehensive subject-wise coverage across the week. For instance, Advanced Accounting will be taught during the morning sessions on Thursdays and Saturdays. Similarly, the Income Tax Laws segment of the Taxation paper will be covered during evening sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays. Each of the six subjects in the CA Intermediate curriculum is strategically placed on specific weekdays, allowing students to plan their studies accordingly and achieve systematic revision. This format is intended not only to provide flexibility but also to encourage consistent study habits among aspiring Chartered Accountants.

Following this, ICAI will roll out the second phase of the virtual classes for those attempting the CA Intermediate examinations in May 2026, September 2026, and January 2027. These classes will commence on July 21, 2025, continuing the dual-time-slot approach throughout the week. Students in this cohort will receive subject-wise support aligned with the same structured methodology introduced for the earlier batch. Morning and evening slots will ensure that students across time zones, personal commitments, and learning paces can stay on track with their preparation.

To access these virtual classes, students must follow a few simple steps. First, they need to log into the ICAI official website using their registration number, selected course, and date of birth. Once logged in, they can navigate to the BOS Knowledge Portal or alternatively download the ICAI BOS mobile app. Through these platforms, they will be able to view the available sessions and join them via Zoom.

ICAI’s commitment to supporting students through modern educational technologies is evident in this initiative. Over the years, the ICAI Board of Studies has gradually transitioned from conventional classroom learning models to more adaptive and accessible virtual platforms. This shift not only addresses the needs of students in remote areas but also aligns with the broader vision of digital education in India. By leveraging platforms such as YouTube and mobile apps, ICAI ensures that learning is no longer confined to physical boundaries, allowing for maximum participation and flexibility.

Moreover, these live sessions are designed to be interactive, helping students gain conceptual clarity, problem-solving techniques, and exam-writing strategies directly from experienced faculty. With comprehensive coverage of the CA Intermediate syllabus, consistent scheduling, and seamless access, the initiative is expected to significantly benefit students aiming for success in the competitive Chartered Accountancy landscape.

As the demand for qualified chartered accountants continues to rise in India and globally, ICAI’s proactive efforts to enhance student preparedness through such digital education programs underscore its dedication to academic excellence and student success. With the new batch of virtual classes about to begin, students now have a clear roadmap ahead of them and can start their exam journey with robust support and structured guidance.
