The answer sheets for this year’s highly anticipated Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced have been formally published by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, the test’s organizing body. The answer sheets were made available at 5 p.m. today, May 22, 2025. Candidates who took the test can now download their individual response sheets from the official JEE Advanced website — https://jeeadv.ac.in — by logging into the candidate portal using their registration number, date of birth, and mobile number.
The publication of the response sheets is a significant stage in the evaluation procedure for the JEE Advanced exam, one of the most competitive entrance exams in India for undergraduate engineering courses. Aspiring students may now analyze the responses they marked on the exam and assess their performance in preparation for the provisional and last answer keys.
Around 2.5 lakh students nationwide took part in the JEE Advanced exam this year, which was held on May 18, 2025, in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The test was divided into two required papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, which were administered on the same day. The morning session of Paper 1 took place between 9 a.m. and midday, and the afternoon session of Paper 2 was scheduled between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Through a combination of multiple-choice, numerical, and match-the-following style questions, the dual-paper format is intended to assess a candidate’s competence in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Candidates can now compare their answers to each question after the provisional answer key is made available, allowing them to check their answers. IIT Kanpur’s formal timeline indicates that the tentative answer key for JEE Advanced 2025 will be made public on May 26. Candidates will also have the chance to voice concerns or provide feedback about any discrepancies they see when the provisional key is made available. The deadline for submitting comments is May 26–27, 2025.
In order to guarantee transparency and accuracy in the evaluation of this esteemed test, it’s crucial to solicit objections. IIT Kanpur will complete the answer key after carefully analyzing all the input and remarks provided by the candidates. On June 2, 2025, the official announcement of the exam results and the final answer key will be made.
The outcomes of the JEE Advanced are more than simply another academic achievement. Getting into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the nation’s top engineering colleges, is made possible by passing the exam, which hundreds of thousands of students take annually. The IITs have 23 campuses across the nation that collectively provide thousands of seats annually in fields like Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and more.
For seat allocation, candidates who pass JEE Advanced will also go through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling procedure. The candidate’s rank, choices, and seat availability at various IITs and other participating schools are taken into account during this process.
Candidates are now one step closer to achieving their goal of enrolling in the IITs with the publication of the response sheet today. Students are at a pivotal point in their academic careers as they assess their accomplishments, predict their grades, and begin creating a shortlist of possible institutions and courses based on expected ranks. The response sheet not only provides a clear understanding of their performance but also aids in their mental preparation for the next stages: the answer key challenge, the final results, and, ultimately, acceptance.
Students, parents, and teachers throughout the nation remain optimistic as the countdown to the last results gets underway. Candidates are currently advised to immediately download their response sheets, double-check the entries, and keep up with future updates on the official website. Thousands of aspiring engineers are moving closer to their goals with today’s advancement, which is a testament to the difficulty and satisfaction of the JEE Advanced experience.
