Announced Kerala DHSE +2 Result 2025: Science Ranks First with the Highest Pass Rate; Girls Excel Above Boys

The results of the Plus Two or Class XII exams for the academic year 2025 have been formally announced by Kerala’s Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE). V Sivankutty, the minister of general education and employment in Kerala, made the statement at a news conference at 3 p.m. on May 22. The reported outcomes indicate that 77.81% of the pupils passed the exams, which is a little drop of 0.88% from the pass rate of 78.69% in the previous year.

The ongoing academic superiority of girls in Kerala is evident in the results of this year. Girls scored an outstanding pass rate of 86.65%, which was much higher than the pass rate for boys at 68.44%. The commitment and resolve of female students throughout the state has been brought to light by the continuing performance difference between men and women.

The Science stream had the greatest pass percentage of any stream. With a pass rate of 83.25%, 1,57,561 of the 1,89,263 students who took the Science stream examinations passed. The Commerce stream came next, with a pass rate of 74.21% as 79,255 students out of 1,06,796 passed the test. The Humanities stream, on the other hand, had the lowest pass rate of the three streams. Only 51,578 of the 74,583 students were able to pass, giving a pass percentage of 69.16%.

The DHSE Kerala Plus Two examinations were conducted at several centers throughout the state from March 3 to March 26, 2025. Over 4.44 lakh students signed up for the Vocational Higher Secondary Examination (VHSE) and the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) this year. As the outcomes of these exams determine if thousands of students are eligible for professional training programs and higher education institutions, they are essential in influencing their academic and career prospects.

The official website, results.hse.kerala.gov.in, allows students to view their results. Additionally, the official DigiLocker site offers access to the findings. Students must input their registration number and date of birth on the results site in order to view their unique scorecards. After logging in, they have access to their grades memo for future use, especially when applying to colleges or other educational programs.

The DHSE will administer “Save a Year” exams to help pupils who were unable to complete the standard tests. By allowing these pupils to retake the tests within the same academic year and raise their grades, this program prevents the loss of a full academic year. Furthermore, the board has arranged for pupils who are unhappy with their grades to seek a recheck or reevaluation of their answer sheets.

The DHSE has continuously strived to establish an equitable and open assessment process, and this year is no exception. By announcing the results for 2025, the board has reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining the state’s academic standards while also inspiring students to aim for the best. The Kerala Plus Two results are generally accepted as a gauge of the state’s educational development, and the fact that female students and students in the Science stream continue to perform well is a sign that the standard of education in Kerala is improving.

The attention will now turn to college admissions as students and parents have access to the results. The academic prospects of millions of students will depend on the Plus Two results since universities and colleges in Kerala and other states will soon start their admissions procedures. For those who have passed the tests, this marks the start of a new chapter full of hopes and possibilities. For others, the process of re-examining and reevaluating oneself presents the opportunity for positive change and atonement.

The Kerala DHSE has once again demonstrated its importance to the state’s education system, and with the release of the 2025 results, students may now pursue their academic path with confidence and direction.
