NLU Delhi To Release AILET 2025 First Merit List

The first merit list of the National Law University, Delhi, for All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 is going to be published on December 27. Provisionally selected candidates for the BA LLB program will find their names in the merit list. The candidates who registered themselves for the AILET 2025 counselling process can access the merit list from the official NLU Delhi website.

As per the schedule, the first list will be available on the given portal at 6 pm. The candidates will be provided with the list using their application number and date of birth over the portal. The access of applicants to the web section must further include the clicking of a link referred to as “1st Provisional Merit List (BA LLB). On the downloading of the resultant link in a PDF format will yield names of candidates qualified to the provisional list. Interested students should download and store this copy for future perusal.

The release of the merit list is a crucial step in the AILET 2025 admissions process. NLU Delhi has made clear that provisional merit list is the initial distribution of seats through the assessment of the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination, held on December 8. The exam took place from 2 pm to 4 pm and involved aspirants from across the country.

Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be required to confirm their provisional admission by paying a confirmation fee of ₹50,000. This fee must be submitted between December 27 and January 4. If the fee is not paid within the stipulated timeframe, the admission offer will be cancelled. The seat will then be allocated to the next candidate on the merit list. Moreover, candidates who reject the offer of admission will not be reconsidered in subsequent rounds of seat allocation.

NLU Delhi will publish further merit lists to fill up the remaining seats available for subsequent rounds of counseling. The university wants the process to be merit-based and transparent, with seats allotted based on the rankings in the AILET 2025 merit list of candidates.

A very critical document for the applicants is the merit list of AILET, as it confirms them having a temporary seat allocation in that university. Candidates must therefore hasten to meet the deadline and get admitted. It is an essential step on showing confirmation fee for the applicant’s commitment to joining that program.
