UCEED 2025 Admit Card Released, Download Now

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay IIT Bombay, in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, had officially declared that the admit card for Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design, UCEED 2025 was released. Eligible candidates may download their respective admit cards at the official portal of UCEED by logging on to the candidate portal. These admit cards shall remain downloadable till 19th January 2025, i.e., the examination day. Any discrepancy in the admit cards must be brought to notice and rectified before January 9, 2025 before 5 PM.
The UCEED 2025 examination will be conducted on January 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. It is a gateway examination for aspirants to get admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. Besides, several other institutions also use UCEED scores for their admissions into design programs.
Candidates appearing for UCEED 2025 will have to qualify certain eligibility criteria. Candidates need to have qualified Class XII or equivalent examination in 2024 or those appearing for the first time in streams of science, commerce, arts, or social sciences. The score in UCEED is valid only for admissions in the academic year 2025-2026.
UCEED is an exam that is structured as a three-hour test. It is conducted in two parts: Part A, which is computer-based, and it tests candidates on design aptitude, logical reasoning, and analytical skills; and Part B, which focuses on sketching abilities. Candidates have to attempt both parts, as each plays a crucial role in the overall assessment of a candidate’s performance.
Downloading the admit card can be done by visiting the UCEED or CEED website, logging in with your required details, reviewing the minutest of details on the card for accuracy, and then downloading and printing it. The candidates are informed that before making their respective admit cards downloadable, any errors should be checked in the personal details, such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, or the exam center details as these must be corrected urgently.
Whereas UCEED is specifically designed for undergraduate design aspirants, the CEED, or Common Entrance Exam for Design, targets postgraduate and doctoral-level design courses. CEED 2025-passed candidates are eligible to apply for Master of Design (MDes) and PhD courses across different institutions. The CEED score is valid for one year from the date of declaration of results.
The UCEED and CEED exams are both highly competitive and serve as benchmarks for design education in India.
