In a major breakthrough for budding engineers, architects, and medical students in Kerala, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has formally announced the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2025 examination results. The announcement of the results was made on May 15, 2025, and can be checked by all candidates who appeared for the exam, held from April 23 to April 29, 2025.
The KEAM 2025 entrance test was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and held in several sessions at different centres in the state. The engineering entrance test was conducted for three hours and consisted of a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), whereas the pharmacy entrance test was conducted for 90 minutes and consisted of 75 MCQs. The engineering paper was split into three parts—Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (30 questions), and Mathematics (75 questions), while the pharmacy paper had 45 questions from Physics and 30 questions from Chemistry.
Along with the release of the results, the CEE Kerala has also released the final answer key for the KEAM 2025 exam. The final answer key includes requisite revisions, such as elimination of dubious questions and change in some of the answer choices in accordance with objections and suggestions received from the candidates during the answer key challenge window. The move is meant to maintain fairness and correctness in the evaluation process, and demonstrates a student-centric and transparent move by the exam authority.
Candidates who appeared for the KEAM 2025 examination can now view their results on the official website of CEE Kerala, https://cee.kerala.gov.in/. When they visit the home page, they need to click on the link called ‘KEAM 2025 Candidate Portal’. Candidates, once they have entered their credentials, such as application number and password, will be able to see their scorecards. The scorecard contains vital details like the name of the candidate, application number, subject-wise and overall marks secured, normalised scores, and overall qualifying status. Candidates should scrutinise their scorecard carefully and report any discrepancy or errors to the CEE authorities forthwith for rectification.
One of the significant changes in KEAM 2025 is the use of Percentile Interpolated Average Method (PIA Method) for normalising scores. Since the KEAM examination was held over various sessions and dates, there existed a likelihood of variations in difficulty levels for different test slots. To guarantee consistency and justice, the PIA Method, which is used for normalising candidate scores in session-wise variations, was recommended by the normalisation committee. The same has now been duly implemented. The statistical method aligns candidate scores to a similar scale by considering session-wise fluctuations and ensuring level playing fields for all stakeholders.
After the declaration of the results, the second step in the admission procedure is the initiation of the KEAM 2025 counselling process. CEE Kerala will release the detailed schedule and guidelines of the centralised counselling for admission to engineering, architecture, and pharmacy courses in the 2025-26 academic year shortly. The counselling will incorporate the registration and option entry process, in which the qualified candidates will have to enter their favourite courses and colleges according to their KEAM ranks and eligibility conditions. Admission will be done according to merit and availability of seats, and the candidates will be informed of the allotment results in due course.
KEAM continues to be one of the most competitive and important entrance examinations in the Kerala state, ushering aspiring students into top colleges and universities in the state. It has, over time, become a reliable gateway for tens of thousands of aspiring students who seek to take up professional courses in engineering, architecture, and medical sciences. With the results already released and the counselling process to start soon, students and their families are cautioned to remain informed regarding official updates and ready documents needed for the next rounds of admission.
While Kerala makes a stride in deciding the higher education life of its young population, the KEAM 2025 process reflects a mirror of changing exam standards, technology embrace, and dedication to educational equity.
