As the results were revealed with thousands of students eagerly awaiting their results, the announcement proved to be an important academic benchmark for the state. As many as 18,946 students had attempted the Class 10 exams held between February 19 and March 13, 2025. Of these, 14,527 students cleared the exam, which has seen an overall pass percentage of 76.68%.
The news has filled the lives of thousands of students and their families with happiness, particularly the toppers, who have raised the bar of excellence. One of the top achievers this year, PC Lalthakimi of Aizawl took the top position in the state by bagging a whopping 479 marks out of 500. Her brilliant performance not only has earned pride for her school and family but has also motivated numerous students in the state. Second place was tied between Isak MS Dawngkima and Malsawmkima Chawngthu, both scoring 475 marks. The third position was grabbed by Ricky Lalnufela, who garnered 474 marks, which goes to show how competitive the students were this year.
The percentage of passes among boys was 77.86%, slightly greater than 75.63% of girls. These statistics are evidence of uniform performance between both genders and also of a settled academic atmosphere based on the MBSE’s testing criteria. The board’s initiatives in organizing the examination efficiently and unbiasedly have drawn praises from teachers, students, and parents.
Students who have successfully cleared the Class 10 board examinations can now look forward to joining higher secondary courses such as Arts, Science, and Commerce streams or pursue vocational training courses that suit their interests and career aspirations. The MBSE has motivated students to take proper decisions regarding their future academic pursuits and reaffirmed its resolve to guide students at the transition stage to higher studies.
For students who want to take re-evaluation or rechecking of their answer scripts, the board will publish official guidelines shortly. The process has been made for transparency and fairness so that students will have a chance to rectify any errors in their results. Also, for students who failed to clear the exams, supplementary exams will be organized by the MBSE. The second chance is made for the benefit of students so that they will not lose an academic year.
In order to check the results, students are requested to proceed to the official web portal of the Mizoram Board of School Education at mbse.edu.in.
