The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be releasing the admit cards of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 in the coming days. With more than 23 lakh hopefuls waiting for the most crucial phase prior to the medical entrance exam, contenders are recommended to remain vigilant and watch the official NTA website — neet.nta.nic.in — for activation of the link to download the admit card.
NEET UG 2025 will take place on May 4, 2025, and is among the most competitive entrance exams in India for students who are aiming to secure a seat in undergraduate medical and dental courses offered by institutions nationwide. As the examination date approaches, the admit card is a very important document that not only grants candidates entry into their examination centers but also includes vital details such as their roll number, personal details, test center address, and timing.
To download the NEET UG 2025 admit card, the candidates will have to log in with their application number and password created during the registration process. The NTA will place the admit card on its official website and inform students about its release. After release, students should immediately download the document, take multiple copies for safety purposes, and cross-check each detail to make sure there are no discrepancies that can impact their examination process.
The exam city notification slip, which notifies candidates of their assigned exam city, has already been published. This advance notice allows students to plan travel and accommodation if their centers are far from their hometowns. Candidates should also pay attention to the reporting time indicated on the admit card. They need to report to their assigned centers at least one hour before the start of the exam. This time buffer is essential, as it encompasses the entry process, document checking, and biometric authentication, which is applied to leave no chance of impersonation.
Except for the admit card, there are some documents which are compulsory for the candidates to bring on the day of the exam. They are a printout of the NEET UG 2025 admit card, a passport-size photo (according to the specifications of NTA) that should be glued on the admit card, and a valid certificate of PwD, if any. The photo should be recent, clear, and must be the same as uploaded while applying.
On reaching the test center, the candidates will go through rigorous verification processes, which will also involve biometric verification. Therefore, the admit card must be error-free and the photo should clearly be visible and well attached in the provided area. It is advisable that students retain at least two to three hard copies of the admit card so that they can be saved from last-minute problems because of loss or misplacement.
In order to download the admit card, candidates need to go to the NTA’s official website and search for the “NEET UG 2025 Admit Card” link. On clicking the link, they need to enter their application number, password, and security pin displayed on the screen. On entering the login details successfully, their admit card will be shown. Contestants should carefully verify the particulars like their name, roll number, date of birth, gender, address of exam center, and exam date and time. If there is a discrepancy, one should immediately inform NTA so it can be corrected.
The NTA has also asked students to check the official website frequently for updates regarding admit card release, exam guidelines, and other important announcements. It is important to follow these updates so that one does not miss out on important timeframes or experience undue difficulties during the exam.
With the countdown to NEET UG 2025 on, students are suggested to concentrate on their last revision and also ensure all the formalities related to the exam are done on time. With the admit cards being released any day now, being prepared and organized is the secret to a stress-free and hassle-free exam experience.
