Education Official Highlights NEP 2020 Goals in Baghpat Visit

On October 7, 2024 Shri Vipin Kumar, Additional Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy Ministry of Education today visited PM SHRI schools in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat as part of the Minister’s relentless efforts to improve quality education in keeping with the mandates of the National Education Policy 2020.
Shri Kumar appreciated the activity-based teaching techniques of school PM SHRI Upper Primary School Sisana during his visit, as in line with NEP’s thrust towards experiential learning, he motivated teachers to share innovative practices on social media, encouraging more interaction with the broader community of the school.
In addition, Shri Kumar stated that the Balvatika programme supports wholesome development for young children; use of outdoor play materials and the “Jaadui Pitara” toolkit is suggested for early childhood education.

In this school, Shri Kumar praised the schools for their green efforts such as kitchen gardens and participation in the #EcoClubs4MissionLiFE towards sustainable development and environment awareness.
Shri Kumar also appealed to the school to start alumni meets, celebrate the achievements of alumni, and associate it with the growth efforts of the school through the Vidyanjali portal, which is an initiative promoted by the Ministry that encourages community and alumni engagement with the development work of schools.
Through this visit, the commitment of the Ministry of Education towards innovation, wholesome education, and collaboration with the community in taking forward the transformative agenda of NEP 2020 was reaffirmed.
