The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) declared the Class 10 board examination results for the year 2025 on Tuesday, May 27. The announcement was made during a press conference held at 11:30 am at the JAC Auditorium in Ranchi. Students can access their results online from 12:30 pm onwards through the official JAC result website.

This year’s results have brought cheer to thousands of students and their families, with an impressive 91.71% of students passing the examination. This marks a 1.31% increase from last year’s pass percentage of 90.39%, reflecting a positive trend in academic performance and examination outcomes in the state. Out of the total 4,33,944 candidates who registered for the matriculation exams, 4,31,488 appeared, and 3,95,755 have successfully passed.

Girls have once again outperformed boys in the board exams, continuing a trend observed over the past several years. Among the 3,95,755 students who passed, 2,10,967 were girls while 1,84,788 were boys. This not only highlights the increasing participation of girls in secondary education but also their growing academic excellence across subjects.

In terms of division-wise performance, over two lakh students—specifically 2.21 lakh—have secured the first division, demonstrating high academic achievement. Additionally, 1.57 lakh students earned a second division, while 17,521 students passed with a third division. These numbers offer a comprehensive view of the academic spectrum among the matric examinees and indicate that a large number of students are scoring well above the minimum pass percentage.

The JAC Class 10 exams were conducted between February 11 and March 9, 2025, with the practical exams held from March 4 to March 20. The smooth conduct of the examinations was followed by meticulous evaluation, culminating in today’s declaration of results.

For students eager to view their individual performance, the council has made the results available on its official websites, including https://www.jacresults.com. To access their results, students must enter their roll number and roll code as printed on their admit cards. Once submitted, their detailed scorecard, which includes subject-wise marks and the overall grade, will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to download and print their results for future reference.

Recognizing the challenges faced by students in remote or rural areas where internet connectivity may be limited, JAC has also provided the option to access results via SMS. Students can send a text message in the format “RESULT JAC10 (RollCode) (RollNumber)” to 56263 to receive their results directly on their mobile phones.

To qualify in the matriculation examination, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. Those who are dissatisfied with their marks have the option to apply for re-evaluation. Additionally, students who have failed in one or two subjects need not lose hope, as they will be eligible to appear for supplementary examinations, which are scheduled to be held in June or July.

The JAC board also emphasized that the scorecards released online are provisional. These will include comprehensive details such as marks obtained in each subject, the division secured, and the overall pass/fail status. Original mark sheets and certificates will be distributed later through respective schools.

Reflecting on last year’s results, in 2024, the pass percentage stood at 90.39%. That year too, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 91% compared to 89.7% among boys. The current year’s results have not only surpassed last year’s overall performance but have also reaffirmed the consistency with which girls continue to excel in academics across the state.

The JAC’s commitment to transparency, timely result publication, and multiple modes of result access has been widely appreciated. As students move on to the next phase of their academic journey—whether higher secondary education or vocational training—these results mark an important milestone in their lives. For many, it is a moment of celebration, while for others, it is an opportunity to learn and grow further.

With more than 3.95 lakh students successfully clearing the examination, the 2025 JAC Class 10 results reflect not only the hard work and dedication of the students but also the collective efforts of teachers, schools, and families across Jharkhand.
