Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is about to release the results of Class XII of session 2024-25. Students who appeared in the exam can soon access their results through the board’s official website. To do that, they need to enter the BSEB login credentials that include roll number and date of birth.

A total of 12,92,313 students appeared for the Class XII board examination this year. Of these, 6,41,847 were girls and 6,50,466 were boys. The exams were held at 1,677 centres in Bihar. The theory exams were conducted from February 1 to February 12, 2025, and the practical exams were conducted from January 10 to January 20, 2025. The written exams were conducted in two shifts: the first shift started at 9:30 AM, and the second shift started at 2:00 PM. In order to allow students proper time to scan the question paper prior to initiation, a cool-off period of 15 minutes was given ahead of every session.

Students have to obtain not less than 33% mark in every subject of theory for passing the Class XII board. In practical subjects, the cut-off marks for qualifying are decided as 40%. Students who do not score the passing marks in one or two subjects will be allowed to appear for compartment exams, which are generally conducted in May or June. Information about the compartment exams, such as the application procedure and exact dates, will be intimated after the declaration of results.

After the Bihar Board publishes the Class XII results, students may log on to the official website and simply follow a few steps in order to check their marks. On the front page, they should click on the link with the name “Bihar Board Intermediate Result 2025.” Next, they should input their roll number and code as given on their admit card. After submitting the required details, the result will be shown on the screen. Students are recommended to download the result in PDF format and print it out because it will be needed for college admissions and other official reasons.

If students are not happy with their results, they can apply for rechecking. The rechecking facility enables students to ask for their answer sheets to be checked once more so that their marks have been given accurately. The request for rechecking has to be made within seven days from the declaration of the results, and the students will be charged a nominal amount per subject. In case there is a difference found while re-evaluating, the marks will be updated.

The Bihar Board administers its Class XII examination annually to lakhs of students from the state.
