The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has formally announced the results of the Class X and Class XII board exams of 2025. The highly awaited announcement was made on May 7 in a press conference by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai. This year’s board exams witnessed the participation of more than 2.5 lakh students, indicative of the size and significance of the academic event in the state.
The Class X and Class XII tests were taken up from March 3 to March 24, and from March 1 to March 28, 2025, respectively. These exams were taken at the offline, pen-and-paper mode in as many assigned centers across Chhattisgarh. Now, after the result declaration, candidates can see their marks through a variety of methods, namely on the official websites of CGBSE (https://cgbse.nic.in/ and https://results.cg.nic.in/), and the Digilocker and Umang applications.
To verify their results, students need to go to the official result website and choose either “CGBSE 10th Result 2025” or “CGBSE 12th Result 2025.” They need to input their roll number, date of birth, and the security code provided to view their results. Students are recommended to download and print their results for future reference, particularly for admissions and documentation purposes.
For dissatisfied students, the CGBSE has also provided facilities for re-evaluation and rechecking. Students who are not happy with their marks can apply for a re-evaluation or get a photocopy of their mark sheets. These applications have to be made within 15 days from the date of announcement of results. The entire process of application is online, and students are required to deposit the fee through a challan in a bank in the name of the Board. Completed forms along with the receipt of the fee are to be submitted at nodal centres set up by CGBSE.
Students who do not pass in one or more subjects will also get a chance to sit for supplementary exams. The comprehensive schedule for the same will be announced shortly after the results so that all students get a fair opportunity to clear their academic year without undue delay.
Apart from individual performance, the Board will also announce important statistics like the total pass percentage, performance at district levels, and gender-wise pass rate. Names and merit lists of top performers from different districts will also be published to appreciate learning excellence and inspire others. The numbers not only reflect academic patterns in the state but are also a motivational tool for next time’s hopefuls.
The declaration of results is a milestone in the academic schedule of Chhattisgarh. It not only marks the culmination of an important phase in the life of students but also heralds a new era, whether it is going to higher education, vocational training, or joining the workforce. The CGBSE, with its transparent procedures and facilities for re-evaluation, ensures that students have several options to approach redressal and academic enhancement.
As the results sink in, schools around the state will soon start the admission processes as per the performance of students. The announcement of results also offers a window to parents, teachers, and administrators to look at the outcomes and collaborate together in order to assist students in their academic and personal development.
Chhattisgarh Board’s focus on result disclosure and its methodical support facilities for students demanding rechecks or extra exams shows that it holds a high priority on fairness, transparency, and student well-being. This season of exams this year, as hectic as it has been, has ended in a smooth, easily accessible results announcement, giving clarity and direction to lakhs of students and their families within the state.
