The Class XII results for 2025 were announced by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, on May 21 at 4 PM. More than 3.82 lakh students sat for the Plus. This year, there were two examinations, and 3,16,787 of them passed, giving an overall pass rate of 82.77%. Students may now get their digital marksheets through SMS services or DigiLocker, and the findings are accessible for download at the board’s official websites. 

This year’s findings have reaffirmed the consistent academic achievements of girls, who have consistently outperformed boys by a large margin. Girls have a pass percentage of 87.24%, which is much higher than the 77.88% rate for boys. The ongoing trend of greater pass rates for female students across all streams is mirrored in the disparity in performance. 

The performance broken down by division shows that 101,914 students finished in the first division, 67,815 students earned the second division, and 143,349 students placed in the third division. The pass-out marks are distributed fairly evenly across the board, according to these data, with a sizable proportion of students performing well academically by earning first division. 

In terms of stream-wise performance, the Science stream has come out on top this year, with an 87.50% pass rate. The Arts stream had an 80.51% pass rate, while the Commerce stream came in second with an 83.20% pass rate. In contrast, the pass percentage in the Vocational stream was somewhat lower at 60.57%. These findings highlight the dominance of the Science stream in Odisha’s academic environment, with Commerce and Arts performing consistently and Vocational studies in need of more focus and assistance. 

Between February 18 and March 27, 2025, the tests were administered at 1,276 testing locations around the state by the board. More than 3.9 lakh pupils took the tests, and the evaluation process has been handled effectively, allowing for the announcement of results in a timely manner. Students who score at least 33% in each topic in the CHSE Odisha examinations have been deemed to have passed. 

Students may access their results by entering their roll number and registration information on the official website, https://results.odisha.gov.in. Additionally, by choosing the “Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha” option in DigiLocker, entering their school code, roll number, and the six-digit security PIN provided by their school, they may access digital scorecards. The instructions for rechecking and re-evaluation of answer sheets will be released soon by CHSE for students who are not happy with their grades. This procedure gives students who are hoping for a better outcome the chance to guarantee a fair evaluation. Individuals who failed any course will have the opportunity to take extra tests. This prevents students from failing in a few courses and missing an entire academic year. There has been a slight improvement between this year’s results and the previous year. In 2024, the overall pass rate was 80.95%, with Science at 86.93%, Commerce at 82.27%, and Arts at 80.95%. Girls also outperformed boys in the previous year, earning 87.74% in science, 85.55% in commerce, and 87.56% in the arts. The consistent outperformance of girls throughout the years indicates a more significant social shift in educational opportunities and outcomes.
